The SSG club deleted Choi Jeong from the first team entry ahead of the Kiwoom Heroes match held at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on the 13th.

An SSG team official said, “In the game against the KIA Tigers on the 10th, pain occurred in my left thigh while running base,” and “I need rest for about a week.”

As a result, Choi Jeong ended this season with a batting average of 0.297, 140 hits, 29 home runs, 87 RBI, and OPS (on-base percentage + slugging percentage) of 0.936.

With Choi Jeong’s first-team elimination, Noh Si-hwan (22, Hanwha Eagles) booked his first home run title in his debut.

Noh Si-hwan, who currently leads the league with 31 home runs, is trailing second-place Choi Jeong by just two, and has not been able to hit a single hit since returning to the Hangzhou Asian Games.

While Choi Jeong, who was in hot pursuit, is out of the first team, Chae Eun-seong (33, Hanwha), who ranks third in the league in home runs, hit 23, making it virtually difficult to chase Noh Si-hwan.

Hanwha has three regular league games remaining.
